Hookside Briar, JW & 3 RCCs. DOB: 21:04:87, bred: Hookside Saturn ex. Hookside Minx. Hipscored &
eyetested. Sadly now only with us in spirit. |

Hazel, is pictured above doing what she loves best: working. She is pictured above right, on point with
her (deceased) son Cedar (Aurichalcum Admiral) on a moor in Scotland. Hazel produced two litters, we kept "Cedar" from the first litter, and "Willow" (Aurichalcum Equinox, also deceased) from the second. Hazel's children (and grandchildren) have gone on to become versatile vizslas for their owners, being used for working, showing, agility, and most importantly, active, loving members of the family. |
|
Hazel, pictured right at 10 years of age,
and still beautiful! Hazel is a true dual purpose dog, having won her Junior Warrant and 3 RCCs, and having worked until nearly 12 years of age, when deafness brought about a retirement. A wonderful and tireless worker, for both hawk and gun.
Hazel a dog who will never be equalled,
enjoying her retirement with the same dignity with which she has lived her life. The dog of a lifetime. No other vizsla will ever come close. |
|
Hazel above, holding pheasant on point.
Hazel right, is pictured with her daugher Hebe,
Aurichalcum Enigma (owned by Kate Griffiths).
It is with the greatest sadness I am now adding the
final footnote to Hazels page. She passed away two weeks before her 16 Birthday. Fit and well to the end. Goodbuy my love, my soul is with you. |

In the show ring, pointing Grouse or
retrieving Rabbits our Vizsla family is truly dual purpose. |
